Frequently asked questions

Vestibular issues can result from a variety of problems, including inner ear issues and infections, head trauma, brain-related issues, diseases, medication and more.

Vestibular rehabilitation is a research-based therapy that is proven to be effective for many different dizziness and balance conditions. Lifemark uses infrared goggle technology to detect certain eye movements and determine the underlying problem.

We will help you learn about your condition and develop a customized treatment plan to maximize your body's ability to reduce or eliminate symptoms. This may involve a combination of in-clinic sessions and techniques prescribed for you to work on at home.

At your initial appointment the therapist will discuss any medical history that relates to your condition. Our therapists will perform a thorough assessment to determine causes and contributing factors to your condition.

Pelvic floor issues can have many causes, including being a consequence of medications, various pelvic surgeries including gender confirmation surgery (GCS), trauma due to pregnancy, labour and delivery, prolapse of pelvic organs, a history of sexual trauma, posture, breast binding, stress, lifestyle/diet, as well as changes due to aging and menopause.

By taking an active role and with guidance from a qualified pelvic health physiotherapist, you can take back your life and restore your pelvic health. Physiotherapy for urinary incontinence is successful 80-90% of the time.

Massage therapy involves hands-on manipulation of the body's tissues including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints, to help decrease pain and improve mobility.

Massage therapy can treat acute and chronic conditions including stress and anxiety, headaches, neck and back pain, sport injuries, arthritis and more.
